Tutor in Public Health

£38,654 – £45,874 per annum plus £4201 London premium + up to 10% bonus scheme - pro rata.

Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week)

We are currently looking to recruit academic professionals with the skills and ability to inspire our Public Health students with your expertise in one or more of the following areas:

- Epidemiology
- Health Policy and Management
- Environmental Health
- Social Determinants of Health
- Global Health
- Health Promotion and Education
- Infectious Diseases
- Chronic Diseases
- Maternal and Child Health
- Health Systems and Policy
- Quantitative / Qualitative research methods
- Data Analysis
- Research Design and Ethics

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Enthusiastic academic professionals to contribute to teaching, assessment, curriculum design in Business disciplines at TU London. You will apply creativity, innovation, and subject expertise to the delivery of an outstanding student learning experience.

Your responsibilities will include the delivery of innovative, engaging, and effective teaching, providing pastoral support, supervision of projects and contribution to professional development and business engagement. You will engage in management activities such as module leadership, produce appropriate documentation and collaborate with colleagues to disseminate best practice.

You will have knowledge and experience in the design and delivery of effective teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level using a variety of approaches. You will either hold extensive professional experience in a related field and a degree or a PhD in a relevant discipline. The ability and expertise to teach a range of Public Health subjects is an essential requirement along with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders including business.

Your skills and expertise will include exceptional oral and written communication skills, IT skills to produce effective materials and engage our students. You will have demonstrable ability to exercise initiative, creativity, and judgement in applying appropriate approaches to teaching and learning, research, and scholarly activities. You will have the capability to support student retention through caring for our students’ pastoral needs.
