Some of our roles are within our Data and Analytics (D&A) function leading the product design and development for next generation cloud data platforms including migration from legacy data warehousing. You will work with one of our DWP Business Domains, such as Health, Later Life or Working Age to support their transition to being more data driven, which in turn improves the user experience of our DWP Citizens.

We are looking for an experienced Product Managers to lead on the development of next generation data platforms, owning the roadmap and prioritising user needs. You will be working with the Lead Product Manager, and other product managers across Data Platforms, wider D&A and across Digital Group, you will be comfortable talking technically about old and modern data ingestion, storage and provision techniques.

Whilst other roles sit within Integrated Risk and Intelligence Service (IRIS), Our product managers are part of a community where we share our experiences and problems and show what we are working on. You will work with the IRIS, which is central to the DWP’s fraud and error strategy. It is radically transforming how the welfare system is protected.

Product at DWP may not be easy at times, but you’ll be well supported, and you’ll get a minimum of 5 days learning and development annually.

The role will be responsible for making evidenced based strategic and tactical product decisions and making key priority calls.

You'll be actively involved in developing the product strategy, owning the product roadmap, and communicating product success to stakeholders but also defend controversial decisions about your product.

You'll apply product management techniques to guide the development, delivery and continuous improvement of products and services.

While you will work independently, you’ll also be part of a more complex area with the support of a more senior Product Manager.

You’ll line manage and coach subject matter experts, supporting their professional growth and ensuring high-quality delivery within their areas of expertise.

Additionally, you’ll be a part of our Product Community of Practice, where Product Managers across DWP Digital come together to share learning, discuss their development needs, gain support, and solve common problems.
