Pay: £12.21 per hour + £0.90 hourly bonus on all hours worked
Higher pay rate available for candidates with supervisory experience – beneficial but not essential
Job Description:
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is looking for a reliable and hard-working FLT Operative to join a leading concrete product manufacturer based in Alfreton. This is a hands-on role combining forklift operation with general production and yard duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate forklift trucks to move heavy concrete products safely around the site
• Support yard operations, including loading/unloading and organising stock
• Assist with batching and pouring concrete into moulds
• Strip and finish concrete products
• Conduct visual quality checks to ensure all products meet specification
• Follow all site health and safety guidelines
• Keep work areas tidy and free from obstructions
What we’re looking for:
• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence
• Experience in a production or yard environment preferred
• Comfortable with physically demanding work
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Overhead crane experience is a bonus, but not essential
Shift Pattern:
Weekly Hours: 48 hours
• Monday & Tuesday: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Wednesday & Thursday: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Friday: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM
