Are you a passionate Small Animal Vet looking to take the next exciting step in your career? This could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
Nestled in a charming village just north of Leicester, our client’s RCVS-accredited small animal hospital has been a cornerstone of veterinary care for over 70 years. Established in 1952, the practice has grown into a thriving, purpose-built facility that blends advanced medical care with a genuine, caring ethos — and now, they’re looking for an experienced vet to join their outstanding team.
This is a hospital where you’ll feel supported and inspired. You’ll be working alongside a team of 11 talented vets, including certificate holders in small animal surgery and medicine, and one of the UK’s few holders of the RCVS Diploma in Zoo Medicine. They're backed by a dedicated nursing team of over 20 qualified professionals, all contributing to a positive, forward-thinking environment where clinical excellence and colleague wellbeing go hand in hand.
The hospital itself is something special — spacious and fully equipped with six operating theatres, species-specific wards for cats, dogs, and exotics, a digital x-ray suite, and an in-house laboratory. Whether your passion lies in day-to-day consultations or more complex cases, you'll find the facilities and support to thrive.
You’ll be part of a friendly, close-knit rota, working four days a week with just one in eight weekends and approximately one night on-call each week — always with appropriate time off in lieu. The team is committed to professional development, so if you're considering working towards a certificate, you'll be encouraged every step of the way.
This is more than just a job. It’s a chance to be part of a truly collaborative and compassionate team, based in a lovely part of Leicestershire known for its community spirit, green spaces, and easy access to Leicester’s amenities.
If you’re confident in consultations and routine surgery and ready to join a practice that values its people as much as its patients, I would love to hear from you.
