Summary
Inspire Healthy Futures Through Food Education
This school is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Food Preparation and Nutrition Teacher to join their Design and Technology faculty. This is an exciting opportunity to empower students with essential life skills, promote healthy living, and inspire creativity through practical and theory-based lessons. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as Food Preparation and Nutrition Teacher:
Deliver engaging lessons in Food Preparation and Nutrition across Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4
Support pupils in developing practical cookery skills, food science knowledge, and nutritional understanding
Prepare students for GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition assessments and coursework
Maintain a safe, hygienic and well-organised teaching kitchen
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities, such as clubs or themed days
Ideal Food Preparation and Nutrition Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree or relevant qualification in Food, Nutrition, Catering, or a related subject
Experience teaching Food and Nutrition at secondary level (GCSE preferred)
Strong classroom management and organisational skills as a Food Preparation and Nutrition Teacher.
