Summary

As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.

Salary: £12.75p/h

Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 28th February 2026

Hours: 741 hours across the contract. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the contract.

Annualised contracts offer flexibility in working hours per week. Average working week will be 19 hours however in peak periods this will increase to cover annual leave etc. Flexibility is required over a 7 day working week for this role.

Proposed Interview date: Tuesday 27th May

What it's like to work here
Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of the Welcome team working at Speke Hall with the opportunity to support the opening seasons at Hardmans House in Liverpool City Centre, which is part of our Liverpool Portfolio. You will be welcoming our visitors and answering any questions they have about their visit and providing them any information they may need to make sure they have the best experience at our property. You will play a key part in demonstrating the National Trust values with a key focus on: 'Everyone Welcome'.

What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to growing support for the charity. You will discuss the opportunities around National Trust memberships with our visitors to provide them the details and opportunity to support our conservation work within the charity.

Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with enthusiasm for delivering great customer service.
