In the role of Senior Carer/Team Leader at our Residential Carehome, you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality care to residents, particularly those with dementia and other cognitive impairments. Qualifications
Proven experience in care settings, particularly in residential care homes
Familiarity with dementia care techniques - Preferred not essential
Strong understanding of medication administration protocols
Experience in developing and implementing care plans
Ability to manage patient behaviour and provide compassionate support
Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care practices
Experience in assisted living and home care environments
Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualised care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any side effects.
Provide compassionate support and care to residents with dementia and Alzheimer's, promoting their dignity and well-being.
Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation and personal hygiene.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, utilizing medical terminology appropriately.
Respond to emergencies with First Aid certification and ensure a safe environment for all residents.
