Summary

DVSA plays a crucial role in maintaining safety standards on the roads, conducting tests, and overseeing vehicle-related matters in the UK.

The Digital Workspace team designs, builds, and supports the core devices and software used by colleagues across the country, with a strong focus on Digital Employee Experience, continuous improvement, appropriate security, and sustainability. To achieve this we deliver highly automated, fully cloud-managed Microsoft and Apple solutions, alongside the latest technologies such as M365 and Copilot, utilising modern tools such as Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Defender for Endpoint, Apple Automated Device Enrolment, Platform SSO and Netskope network security.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Drive improvements to deliver new and updated core infrastructure services, according to business and user needs, based on clear evidence, to ensure maximum value is achieved from services
  • Drive automation throughout the core infrastructure estate, adopting modern approaches, such as, Infrastructure as Code, where relevant
  • Maintenance of core infrastructure services through: Identifying problems through analysis and proactively supporting resolution including documenting causes and remedies. Identifying and implementing functional, performance and quality improvements to the core infrastructure estate
