Job Description
Position:Cook at Sodexo at Holbeck House, Springwell View, Springwell Road, Leeds, WestYorkshire, LS12 1BS
Join ourcatering teamand play a key role in providing nutritious meals toresidents in an Approved Premises.APs help individuals transition backinto the community after prison by offering supervision, support, andrehabilitation.This role gives you the opportunity to work in astructured environment while making a positive impact on people's lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, cook, and serve meals to residents, ensuring quality and variety.
- Follow recipes and maintain consistency in volume cooking.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
- Control food waste, manage stock, and ensure portion control.
- Conduct and record daily checks, including temperature control.
- Keep kitchen areas, equipment, and storage spaces clean and well-maintained.
- Report any accidents, near misses, or equipment issues to the Catering Supervisor.
- Ensure the kitchen is opened and closed securely at required times.
- Attend relevant training to stay up to date with food safety and operational standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in catering, cooking, or food service (volume cooking experience is a plus).
- Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
