What it's like to work here
To find out more about what it’s like to work within “Retail” at the National Trust,
Mount Stewart is a very special place to work where you will enjoy learning about and sharing with visitors you knowledge and enthusiasm for our:
Nineteenth-century mansion house, home to a world-class collection of paintings and many other internationally-significant items.
Garden, considered one of the most outstanding gardens in the world.
Wider Demesne, home to ten miles of walking trails, through a landscape of woodlands & mixed farmland.
What you'll be doing
As a member of the retail team, you’ll be offering visitors help and advice with their shopping. You’ll have high standards of presentation in the shop while providing excellent service to all customers.
You’ll also be able to talk to them about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust. Other duties may include arranging, receiving and unpacking deliveries, creating shop displays and working with others in the team to keep the shop floor clean and organised. Some knowledge and enthusiasm for gardening, to enable you to help visitors with their plant and garden purchases would be fantastic!
Who we're looking for
We’d love to hear from you if you’re:
focused on giving great service to everyone you meet
a team player, but also happy to work on your own initiative
well-organised and adaptable
willing to learn new skills.
