Summary

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an on-site Facilities Team Leader to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) team in HMYOI Brinsford.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, Mon – Fri 07:45am – 16:45pm with an earlier finish every Friday!

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons.

By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.

The Facilities Team Leader plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.

What you will do:

Ensure the health, safety and security of staff, contractors, premises, and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices at all times.
Assist in and supervise the delivery of a range of facilities services to the prison in line with contractual commitments. Compliance focused.
Assist in the day to day running of the Estate supervising a team of building engineers (Electricians, Plumbers, Joiners etc), Stores People and Cleaners whilst working with contractors on site.
Ensure all requirements are met through liaising with HMPS management to receive and manage expectations.
Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.
Help to maintain standards as set out in the Service Level Agreement.
This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
Check and sign timesheets in accordance with procedures.

What you will bring:

Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate management arena.
Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance.
IT skills and experience in using Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems.
Team management, working on own initiative, understand deadlines and priority.
Management of engineers, dealing with customer and client.
