An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, caring and self-motivated person to join a small team of Activities Co-ordinators within our Housing Engagement team.

The Activities Co-ordinators organise and co-ordinate activities on our Independent Living schemes, enabling our residents to:

• stay healthy and safe
• reduce social isolation and loneliness
• maintain their independence

The Activities Co-ordinators play a key role in ensuring that a wide range of activities are provided on Independent Living schemes, based on identified needs. You will be expected to develop a programme of activities through partnership working and the development of existing arrangements.

Key tasks involve:

• Organising and co-ordinating activities based on the individuals’ needs and preferences
• Advertising planned activities in the appropriate manner which would encourage participation
• Identifying residents who are not engaging and providing a tailored programme to suit their needs
• Working with partners to deliver activities and increase the types of activities on offer
• Maintaining accurate records of participation and evaluation of activities

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both as part of a small team, as well as independently. In this role you will be working with a variety of people and you should possess excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing, negotiating and diplomacy. You will need to be resourceful, have good planning and organisational skills and be creative and innovative in your approach to problem solving.

What you need to know:
There will be a test before the interview.
