Summary

In this catering post, you would be responsible for all activities in the kitchen and it's surrounds including cooking, organisation and supervision of food service.

Supervising staff working in the kitchen.

You must be aware of HACCP procedures and ensure all paperwork including electronic returns are completed and submitted accordingly.

Understanding dietary and nutritional needs.

Duties may also include transporting and serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen and it's surround.

We have a temporary Catering Supervisor vacancy in Cupar at St Columba’s RC PS working 30 hours per week on a 52-week contract working as required between 8:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday. This post is temporary for 1 year.

You will earn a competitive salary of £24,890.91 to £27,087.17 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

£13.26 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

Training on in house systems will be provided. Working towards an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate will be essential once in post.

Do you have catering experience or a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds 706/1 or equivalent?

Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team.

You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.

Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
