Summary
Flavourfresh Salads Ltd is a commercial glasshouse grower, and packer, of premium quality tomatoes and soft fruit (strawberries and blackberries), supplying supermarket chains across the country.
We operate across 4 nursery sites, with the office headquarters located at: Aldergrove Centre in Banks, near Southport, PR9 8DX.
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 tonne Driver (class 3) to join our Operations Team/Logistics Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of fresh produce between various sites, including loading and unloading.
PERSON:
*Must have a valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles (ref: D1).
*Previous experience of driving 7.5 tonne vehicle is desired
*FLT licence is required
*Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for delivery drivers
*A positive attitude towards customer service and problem-solving
*Self-motivated, reliable, and adaptable
*Able to work on their own or in a team
*H&S and food safety aware
*Attention to detail
*Versatility
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle to transport fresh goods between company sites.
*Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
*Ensure all deliveries are done on time and in accordance with the company standards, as per requests and schedules.
*Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
*Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
*Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.
*Any other duties as reasonably requested.
Permanent role
Full time, 39 hrs+ per week
'Sunday to Thursday' shift
Start times 07:00am (or 06:30am)
Rate £12.77/hour
