Summary

Job Description

You’ll work as part of a team and be responsible for the treatment and maintenance of the ice to ensure a high-quality surface for ice sports. You’ll work across both of our rinks ensuring they’re ready for use.

Requirements

• World Curling Federation Level 1 Ice Technician certificate (or equivalent).
• Thorough knowledge of curling.
• Good knowledge of curling ice preparation.
• Experience working within an ice making facility.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the treatment and maintenance of the ice with regards to the activity taking place at the time ensuring a high quality playing surface is achieved for curling, skating sports and public sessions.
• Ensure that the ice plant is working efficiently and effectively and be responsible for any maintenance that is required.
• Set up and dismantle equipment as required ensuring it is safe for use.
• Have an exceptional working knowledge of Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans, adhere to Health & Safety legislation and Active Stirling’s Health & Safety policy.
