Summary

Temporary Head of Finance position

Search are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Finance to lead a finance team for well known organisation in Blackburn. If you have a strong background in financial leadership and are looking for an exciting opportunity to drive financial success, we want to hear from you! This will be a temporary position where you will be working full time or part time around 30-40 hours a week, Monday to Friday fully on-site. The ideal candidate would need to start ASAP so would need to be ideally immediately available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the finance department, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury, and investment activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data and support business objectives.
  • Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance department.
  • Mentor and develop finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in financial leadership roles.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel including V-Look Ups and Pivot tables.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven track record of driving financial success and strategic planning.
