Summary
Position: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Rochdale
Salary: £14.25 - £16.00 per hour
Contract: Temp to Perm
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30 & Friday: 08:00 – 15:30
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our established team in Rochdale. The successful candidate will have proven experience in mechanical engineering and will be responsible for the assembly of machinery, including components and sub-assemblies. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company on a temp-to-perm basis.
Key Responsibilities:

Assemble machinery components and sub-assemblies in line with engineering specifications.

Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate assembly.

Use measuring tools effectively to ensure precision.

Operate general workshop machinery and hand tools safely and competently.

Adhere to work instructions and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.

Demonstrate a keen eye for detail, completing tasks within specified timeframes.

Willingness to work overtime as required to meet project deadlines.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Time-served Mechanical Fitter with relevant qualifications.

Significant experience in mechanical engineering and machinery assembly.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Competence in using measuring tools and general workshop machinery.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.

Flexibility to work overtime when required.
