Summary

Experience/Skilled Corrugated Cardboard Machine Operator:

As leading packaging manufacturer, we are currently looking to recruit a Casemaker/Operator

Will consider a Candidate who is keen to progress their career to a Supervisor role e.g. a candidate who has worked on a machine and would like to progress.

Must have English and Maths, at least GCSE level
Engineering or Mechanical knowledge of machinery is a definite advantage
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn
Available 40 hours per week
Understanding of Manual Handling
Be able to take and give instructions

Job Function:
To set up machines and manufacture corrugated cartons and fittings in accordance with job sheets and quality control standards.

To manufacture rotary die-cut boxes from tooling in accordance with customer specifications and quality control standards.

Assist Production Manager in running of the Casemaker section of the factory.

Typical activities:
Receive instructions’ from the Manager/Planner as to which raw material is to be used for a particular job and act upon this information.

Set up machines in accordance with Manager/Planner & Job Sheet.
Operate machines whilst following and considering own and colleagues Health & Safety.
Check first off samples, and continue to check random samples of product throughout the manufacturing process in adherence with production order sheet.
Removal and disposal of waste from the workplace and machine area correctly leaving the area tidy.
Responsibility for final count and dispatch of goods.

Other activities
May be required to undertake other activities than those mentioned above by Production Manager, which may be involved with the maintenance of machinery, buildings or equipment.
