Do you enjoy supporting upper KS2 pupils and helping them thrive both academically and emotionally?
We are working with a fantastic primary school that is seeking a proactive and confident Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support in a Year 5 classroom. This role involves working closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning support across all core subjects, while also offering targeted intervention and 1:1 support where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the teaching and learning of pupils across the Year 5 curriculum
- Deliver small group interventions in literacy, numeracy and guided reading
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils who may need additional help to access learning
- Assist with classroom preparation, organisation and resource management
- Nurture a positive and respectful learning environment for all pupils
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Has experience working in KS2, ideally in Year 5 or Year 6
- Demonstrates excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Is confident with behaviour management and supporting varying needs
- Shows initiative, flexibility and a genuine enthusiasm for primary education
