Cheshire and Warrington Institute of Technology are looking for their new Director of the Institute of Technology (IoT).
Based in the lead college, Cheshire College South and West, you will co-ordinate the development of the IoT across the three delivery partners Warrington & Vale Royal, Reaseheath and Macclesfield Colleges, together with the University of Chester and four major employers.
Self-motivated, highly organised with excellent leadership skills and an ability to build strong collaborations, you will have a deep understanding of higher technical vocational education and a track record of delivering curriculum growth. You will be excited by the prospect of being at the forefront of technical education and to lead one of only 21 IoTs nationally.
Key Responsibilities:
Successful, effective and timely delivery of the IoT (Cheshire & Warrington) as per the licensing agreement between Cheshire College South & West and the Department for Education (DfE);
Liaise and collaborate with partner academic institutions, employer organisations and the DfE; and
Report progress regularly, including the fulfilment of the KPIs.
Key Person Specification Requirements:
Degree and/or comparable professional qualification;
Evidence of continuous professional development on strategic issues facing the Further Education and/or Higher Education sectors;
Evidence of continuous professional development specific to strategic leadership;
Detailed knowledge of teaching and Learning in FE and HE and managing the delivery of Technical subjects at HE and FE levels;
Substantial evidence of outstanding Senior Leadership Experience;
Detailed awareness of the national, regional and local higher technical skills needs;
Experience of leading FE & HE quality enhancement processes;
Significant teaching experience in FE or HE settings;
Valid UK Driving Licence;
Enhanced DBS check.
