Summary

Apprentice Carpenter/Joiner - Fixed Term Contract – 24 months

We are looking to recruit two Apprentice Carpenter/Joiners to join our team based from our office in Westminster, W9 2AR.

About the Role.

You will work alongside qualified engineers providing a range of services for social housing providers in domestic properties in Westminster.

You will carry out a range of tasks while working efficiently and safely, in line with best practice, whilst achieving excellent customer experience results.

You will complete a Level 2 Carpentry apprenticeship with GLP Training. You will complete learning on a block release basis, for 2 days per quarter, along with off the job learning in the workplace.You will be required to completed coursework issued via the training provider, record off the job learning hours and producing a portfolio of evidence in preparation for the end point assessment (EPA).

Day to day you be working on the installation and repair of door frames, doors, windows, kitchens, flooring and all second fix carpentry works.

You’ll have excellent demonstratable interpersonal skills and cultural awareness when dealing with colleagues, customers and clients.

About You

  • GCSE Maths, English & Science grade 4-9 (C-A*) or Functional Skills Level 2 is essential
  • Proven reliability and excellent punctuality
  • A positive, can-do attitude to work
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to follow Health and Safety regulations
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Capable of using your own initiative
  • Have work experience or currently/previously studied any trade-based qualification at college is desirable.
