The Role – Graduate SEN Support Assistant
This full-time position offers the opportunity to work directly with students who benefit from tailored support. Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting students aged 11–18 with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social-emotional challenges
• Offering one-on-one and small group assistance to help learners stay on track
• Assisting in the implementation of personalised learning and support plans
• Helping students build confidence, develop life skills, and make academic progress
• Collaborating with teaching staff and SEN professionals to promote positive outcomes
What We’re Looking For Graduate SEN Support Assistant
We’re seeking graduates who are empathetic, proactive, and committed to supporting young people with additional needs. You’ll need:
• A 2:1 degree or above in any subject (Psychology, Education, or similar areas are a plus)
• A calm, patient nature with strong communication skills
• Experience working with children or young people through tutoring, mentoring, youth work, or volunteering
• A genuine interest in inclusive education and mental health support
• The ability to remain flexible and focused in a busy school environment
