Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to join our committed team at Five Lanes Primary School. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, creating a fun and engaging environment and ensuring the well-being of pupils outside of school hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the After School Club Leader in providing a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment for all children.
Supervise and engage children in a range of play-based, creative, and recreational activities.
Encourage positive behaviour, social interaction, and respectful relationships among pupils.
Serve snacks and drinks in line with food hygiene and health and safety standards.
Help set up and tidy away resources and equipment before and after each session.
Follow the school’s safeguarding procedures and report any concerns to the Club Leader or Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and carers at collection time.
Person Specification:

Passionate about working with children and creating a nurturing environment.
Reliable, friendly, and able to work as part of a team.
Experience in childcare or education is desirable but not essential.
First Aid and Safeguarding training (or willingness to undertake training)
A positive attitude and ability to use initiative.
