Summary


We are looking for an enthusiastic HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join a dedicated team in a modern department, providing a high-quality service on a 1-Year Fixed Term contract.

The successful candidates will be highly motivated and organised, possess excellent interpersonal skills and show both analytical and creative potential.

Opportunities for further study, scientific posters and papers, training courses and CPD are strongly encouraged.

Cellular Pathology has a high quality UKAS accreditation record and it is an approved laboratory for Registration and Specialist training by the IBMS. The department will soon be moving to a new purpose-built laboratory facility and is currently implementing advanced digital and computational pathology systems as part of a pan-Dorset service improvement program.

Base Location: The position will be primarily based at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site however cross site cover may be required dependent on the needs and requirements of the service

Interview Date: TBC

Duties will include assisting with dissection, biopsy transfer in BMS led dissection, embedding, microtomy, special stains and immunohistochemistry.
