Summary

About Us The Housing Investment Service is responsible for the management and delivery of responsive and cyclical maintenance, specialist & compliance works, planned improvement works and refurbishment schemes to a stock of 24,000 domestic properties, garages and associated buildings and surroundings.
The service is structured around key delivery areas, with teams responsible for Responsive Repairs, Voids, Gas Servicing & Repairs, Electrical, Planned Improvements, Asbestos, H&S, Asset, Finance, Customer Engagement, Contract Support, Home Ownership and Claims. All teams work closely together to provide a uniform and consistent service for all our customers and stakeholders.
The JobAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Contract Officer who will be based in our Contract Delivery Team. The main responsibilities of the role are:

Supervise a small team of Contract Officers in day-to-day activities
Raise orders for a wide range of repairs and capital contracts ensuring the correct budget, contract and priority are input into the Council’s IT systems to ensure works are issued to contractors and allow contracts to be effectively monitored to meet the landlord’s obligations.
Dealing with queries from key stakeholders (contractors, other council teams, customers) and take the correct action to resolve or pass the issue to the correct person in accordance with the applied policies, procedures, and contract practices.
Provide daily contract support to colleagues within Housing Investment. Raising inspections, telephone interactions with customer, ability to provide written replies to customers, paying invoices.

This is a full-time, permanent role, 37 hours per week including the ability to work from home for part of the week via hybrid working arrangements. If you feel you have the required skills, knowledge, and experience this may be an opportunity for you.
