Summary
You will play a key role in the delivery of the Respiratory Physiology Service at Preston CDC, Royal Preston and Chorley District Hospital with support from the Head of Department. You will play an active role in supporting the day to day running of the sleep and respiratory physiology services. This will involve setting up and analysis of home sleep studies, initiation and follow up of CPAP therapy and performing full lung function tests. You will also play a key role in quality assurance and training of junior staff. The successful candidate must be able to perform a full range of respiratory investigations including spirometry, diffusion, plethysmography, bronchial challenge testing, exercise testing and assessment of sleep disorders and be willing to undertake the challenge of developing these services further. You will be self-motivated, well organised, have excellent interpersonal skills. You must have a flexible attitude and the willingness to travel between sites.
