Summary
- Communicate effectively especially where patient ability to do so is compromised. - To deliver safe care within a challenging and changing clinical environment, using equipment and resources safely and as appropriate throughout the cross county service provision, with the support of the trained nurses. - To adhere to all Trust policies and procedures. - To input and retrieve patient information from computer based system and maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient records. - Undertake specific delegated tasks following the appropriate training and competency level e.g. application of simple off the shelf splints and braces, remove plaster casts, record ECG, MRSA screening and venepuncture, arranging admission of patients to wards from clinic. MOST CHALLENGING PART OF THE JOB - Working to tight internal or external deadlines. - Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and time scales - Exposure to verbal aggression and resistance during incident investigation - Dealing with difficult situations and people with the support of the trained nurses.
