Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Curry & Biryani Chef to join our team and bring authentic flavours from India, Pakistan, and Nepal to our vibrant kitchen. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in preparing traditional South Asian cuisine and a flair for culinary creativity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a diverse range of traditional curries including korma, jalfrezi, karahi, saag, jhol, madras, and other classic dishes using time-honoured methods.
Specialize in regional biryanis such as Hyderabadi, Lucknowi, Sindhi, and Nepali-style, with precise layering, marination, and dum-cooking techniques.
Use herbs and spices expertly to ensure rich, authentic, and consistent flavours across all menu items.
Ensure consistent presentation, taste, and portion control, maintaining high standards of quality at all times.
Contribute to menu development by assisting in the creation of new dishes, daily specials, and seasonal offerings.
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, following UK Food Hygiene regulations and kitchen cleanliness protocols.
Collaborate closely with the kitchen team, offering guidance, support, and mentorship to junior chefs and kitchen assistants when needed.
