Summary
The post holder is expected to attend deliveries of complex/ preterm babies, provide management in intensive care/ high dependency care including for those requiring cardiovascular and respiratory support, perform common neonatal procedures and lead other staff members in the management of these patients. There is opportunity to attend specialty and follow up clinics and provide antenatal counselling within these posts. At times they would be expected to support the staff who provide care in the low dependency unit and on the postnatal ward as part of senior reviews of patients. The rota is compliant with the new deal working time directives. The salary will be as per the Specialty registrar pay scale with annual leave and study leave requirements as per the trust policies.
