What the school offers its staff

Southfields Academy, a thriving secondary school, seeks a passionate and enthusiastic teacher to join our dynamic Science Department from September 2025. This role is suitable for an ECT specializing in any subject.

Our science department is committed to providing a high-quality education while fostering a love of learning. Staff are ambitious for all students - at Key Stage 4, our students achieve above expected targets consistently.

The department offers a range of courses at Post-16, A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Physics and a Vocational Level 3 science course. The sciences are a popular choice for our KS5 students. Additionally, the department offers courses to our unique ‘International Group’ of students.
