Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Colmers Farm Primary School is seeking to appoint an experienced Class Teacher. Duties will include:

• Planning and preparing engaging learning for pupils.
• Teaching, according to their educational needs, the pupils assigned to her/him. This includes the setting of high quality learning carried out by those pupils in school and elsewhere and providing appropriate feedback which moves learning forwards.
• Creating a stimulating classroom environment which encourages pupils to become independent learners.
• Assessing, recording, and reporting on the development, progress and attainment achieved by pupils to a range of audiences.
• Communicating and consulting, in accordance with current guidelines, with the parents/carers of the pupils she/he is assigned to teach.
• Managing pupil learning through using quality first teaching, in accordance with subject schemes of learning and policies, ensuring continuity and progression.
• Monitoring standards to challenge and support pupils as required.
• Facilitating and encouraging a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential academically, socially and personally.
