Role for 18 months to oversea Data Migration and access to data/systems required for the transition of care to Evelina PTC - Children's Cancer Centre
We are looking for experienced Data Migration Lead to join the Evelina PTC - Children's Cancer Centre Programme hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
Important
This post requires extensive leadership and data/system migration experience leading data migration and system transformation programmes of work. Ideal candidate will have delivered data migration or technical change programmes for previous EPR implementations or system transitions, such as Epic to Epic or Cerner to Epic, within the NHS.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Migration Lead to join the IT Clinical Systems Directorate to be responsible for leading the Data Migration work for the PTC – Children’s Cancer Centre including leading the planning, technical development, testing and implementation of the Data Migration approach.
This is an opportunity to lead a data programme to support the Epic/Digital transition of a specialist Children’s Cancer service into the Apollo Epic, whilst considering related digital solutions that are in place across multiple sites, supporting more than 50,000 staff, at GSTT, KCH and partner organisations.
This data migration role, that will work to the PTC - Epic/Digital Programme Manager, will be responsible for migrating >5k patient records, and associated archive data, from partner organisations at RMH and St George's.
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (KCH) are two of London’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals, with a long and proud history, international reputations for their speciality services, teaching and research excellence, and a strong profile of local services to local residents in south east London. Together the Trusts have an annual turnover of nearly £3bn and employ around 50,000 staff, with main GSTT sites at St Thomas’ Hospital and Guy’s Hospital, and main KCH sites at King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill, the Princess Royal University Hospital, Bromley and Orpington Hospital.
The two Trusts share a Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) and a vision for digital services that are lean and agile, that maximise the benefits of a shared service operating model, and deliver the digital ambition for both Trusts. This ambition is supported by a forward-looking and strategic approach, and significant investment in a new Electronic Health Record (EHR) which works across both Trusts to transform the way technology and data is used across our services.
This role works within the IT Clinical System Directorate and works to the Head of Digital Training, Delivery and Transformation (who is the IT/Epic/Digital accountable lead for the PTC Programme).
We are seeking an individual with a strong aptitude for technical programme delivery and complex stakeholder engagement to ensure design and implementation is in accordance with the clinical digital requirements and workflow specifications. Key experience includes:
· ToleadEpicsystem data migration and Non-Epic system data migration (where confirmed in scope) to support transition of PTC to Evelina.
· Managingtheday-to-dayrunningofthedata migration sub-workstreamsdealingwith the demands of various users.
· Managementofdatamigration intoApolloEpic from partner organisations.
· Lead risk and issue management of data migration workstream, liaising with teams to support resolutionacross partner organisations,ITCS, clinicalteams,infrastructure,networkingand3rdparty suppliers.
· Monitoringofdata migration sub-workstreams andtoinitiateactiontoresolveproblems.
Key Deliverables
· Lead development and approval of Data Migration Strategy and Plan
· Leadtheproductionofchangeplansthatdeliveragreedmilestonesandobjectives.
· Design,facilitateandeffectivelyleaddata migration meetingswithstakeholders; ensuring breadth in participation and a focus on action planning.
· Developandmaintaineffectivedata migration reportingtothe IT/Epic/Digital Working Group and PTC Programmeboard.
This roles will require Cross-site working, based at Education Centre (3 days on site minimum, 2 days WFH) with 2-4 days per month at partner organisation sites (e.g. Royal Marsden, GOSH, UCLH and St George’s).
