Summary

Position Overview:
Avatar Dining Ltd, renowned for its specialized Indian and Nepalese dishes, is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our restaurant establishment. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional service standards, support staff development, and help maintain the restaurant’s high-quality brand reputation. This role requires a leader with strong hospitality skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering premium guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Day-to-Day Operations:
Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing front-of-house activities, including opening, closing, and service flow, to ensure smooth restaurant functioning.

Team Supervision and Training:
Lead and motivate team members, onboard new hires, and provide regular training to maintain high service standards.

Customer Service Management:
Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner to enhance Customer satisfaction.

Monitor Cleanliness and Safety Standards:
Ensure that the restaurant complies with hygiene, health, and safety regulations by regularly inspecting all areas.

Assist with Scheduling and Labor Control:
Help prepare employee work schedules based on forecasted business volume while maintaining labor cost efficiency.

Inventory and Stock Management:
Monitor supply levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation to ensure availability and reduce waste.

POS and Cash Handling Oversight:
Oversee the point-of-sale system, ensure accurate billing, and support in managing daily cash reconciliation.

Coordinate with the Kitchen Team:
Ensure seamless communication between the front and back of the house for timely food delivery and quality control.

Support Marketing and Promotions:
Assist in implementing local marketing strategies, seasonal offers, and special events to drive guest engagement.

Maintain Staff Morale and Performance:
Foster a positive working environment by resolving conflicts, recognizing performance, and encouraging team collaboration.

Requirements:
Proven experience (2+ years) as an Assistant Manager within the hospitality industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Familiarity with reservation systems and front-of-house operations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
