Summary
This position is to to provide high quality patient focused interventional and fluoroscopy services at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
They will need to effectively manage the interventional radiology department, ensuring smooth service provision. They will need to coordinate all interventional procedures on both inpatients and outpatients, working closely with the dedicated radiology nursing team, consultants and clerical coordinator.
The successful candidate will contribute significantly to the wider departments QSI accreditation. Ensuring quality standards are met across the board, working alongside auditors, external stakeholders, consultant leads and superintendent colleagues. They will be instrumental in creating innovative ideas to continuously improve and maintain the first class service we provide to patients.
They will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and to perform management duties to a high standard. Broad experience in fluoroscopic and interventional techniques and to have coordinated the service in a senior capacity. Experience and ability to work under pressure, make decision and use own initiative. Ensure patients receive a high standard of care.

The post-holder will be expected to produce high quality images to assist in diagnosis and treatment. They will fulfil the requirements of their role within the Imaging team. The responsibilities will include training and supervision of junior staff and students. They will be regarded as a key member of the imaging team.
Alongside the successful running of the interventional service, the IR Superintendent will implement, manage and audit LocSSIPs to govern all interventional procedures throughout the imaging department.
