Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for two motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 ward based clinical educator to join our friendly and dynamic team at the Manchester Vascular Centre.

We are looking for an experienced nurse who have thorough knowledge in care of vascular patients, ability to focus on the delivery of high caliber care; efficient use of facilities, manpower and other resources to ensure and improve standards within the clinical environment.

We are a 46 bedded regional unit specialising in vascular surgery. You will need to display excellent communication skills and experience of leading a team and working autonomously is essential.

Working collaboratively the post holder will develop and deliver clinical education programmes.

Promote an environment that encourages learning and sustains personal and professional staff development.

To be a clinical expert to provide "hands on" supervision of staff in clinical practice to promote the acquisition of new skills and knowledge.

Undertake training needs analyses to inform a training plan which utilises both internal and external education resources.

Provide governance in relation to mandatory and speciality specific education and training and preceptorship.

Lead on the development, delivery and evaluation of multi-professional learning programmes

Ensure the delivery of local induction for new staff.

Provide competency based clinical skills assessment and feedback.

Support career development through the provision of career conversations

Provide coaching / guidance to less experienced staff.

Identify potential continued professional development (CPD) opportunities and support individuals and teams to access to these.

Teach/present to multi-professional groups.

Develop and maintain a training database.

Produce a range of reports.

Promote a positive culture to support psychological safety for all staff and learners.
