Summary
Join our team as a Temporary Accommodation Assistant here at East Lindsey District Council to help us improve access to housing for those in need.
The role is initially fixed term for 5 months with the possibility of the post being extended further.
You will assist the Housing Accommodation Manager to find accommodation for households who are homeless or threatened with homelessness as well as households ready to move on from temporary and supported accommodation.
Proving sufficient suitable accommodation will often be a challenge and you’ll help the team tackle this challenge.
Typical duties:
Maintain a database of households who need accommodation and match them to accommodation you have found, taking account of their circumstances and the Councils requirements.
Help people to apply for accommodation and attend the sign-up if required in person.
Provide administrative support and from time to time and assist with the management of Councils temporary accommodation.
The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work remotely but will also need to work from the Council's offices and travel to appointments within East Lindsey as required
