Public Health - Championing Community Well-being

Be part of shaping an approach that tackles the complexities of public health challenges head-on! We have an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of community well-being within our Health Improvement team.

We’re looking for a Public Health Practitioner to support our Public Health function across health improvement. The role will specifically support projects and programmes of work on our smokefree agenda. The role is a 18 month fixed term position funded by the Smokefree Generation Grant that aims to decrease smoking prevalence through enhancing local stop smoking services. We are therefore seeking a subject matter expert who can confidently develop and mobilise smokefree projects and training.

This is an opportunity to work creatively with a passionate and innovative team, working closely with Public Health Specialists and Public Health Principal, to support established projects, but also create new opportunities. It will involve working closely with internal and external stakeholders, as well as working closely with residents in any co-design of projects.

As a Public Health Practitioner, you'll be the hands-on practitioner, utilising your project management skills and engaging with communities to drive real results.
