Summary

The Strategy & Planning Directorate is seeking to appoint a fixed term (until June 2027) Business Intelligence Developer to support the delivery of a University wide strategic project for the implementation of a new award management system including research costing, knowledge exchange, contracts, ethics and peer review. The successful candidate, working closely with the Data Business Analyst and Project Team, will use their data, analysis, modelling and development skills to analyse, document, design and develop a Management Information solution to meet the reporting requirements.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience developing management information reporting solutions using industry standard Business Intelligence (BI) methodologies and technologies (e.g. Agile, Qlik PowerBI). In particular, redevelop the current suite of management reports within our flagship reporting tool (SUnBIRD), and in conjunction with the project team and relevant stakeholders agree requirements to continue and improve the quality and reach of management information in the Research and Awards Management area by providing a single and shared source for management information, delivered via a series of data marts built on the SUnBIRD platform and integrated with the new award management system.

The post is available on a full time basis however consideration will be given to applicants seeking part time/flexible working arrangements.
