What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic teacher to join our KS2 team from September. Teachers who are passionate about teaching, who understand what effective teaching and learning looks like, and who will bring motivation, commitment and a hard-working attitude. The successful candidates will want make a difference to the children they teach.
Berridge Primary School is a popular, vibrant school in Nottingham. The school is in the heart of the Hyson Green community and is well regarded by parents, staff and children. School benefits from experienced, committed staff who deliver exciting curriculum opportunities. There are three classes in every year group so planning and preparation is shared amongst the year group team. School has an established curriculum which is well resourced and benefits from additional teachers who teach other curriculum subjects like music, computing, Spanish and PE.
Pupils are polite, respectful and have a desire to learn. As a school, we place a strong emphasis on pastoral care, employing family support workers, a gardener and a learning mentor to support our children and families.
Berridge was judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted in October 2024
“There is a culture of mutual respect between staff and pupils. When speaking with visitors, pupils are exceptionally polite. Pupils have high levels of self-motivation and are keen to do well. Staff rarely need to remind pupils of the school’s high expectations” OFSTED October 2024
The school is looking for a full-time teacher and permanent to work in KS2
The post will be paid on main scale/upper pay scale depending upon experience.

• An inspiring and creative approach to the curriculum
• A positive and forward thinking attitude
• High expectations of pupil achievement
