We are currently recruiting for a female Care / Support worker to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the Chorley area. The role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client with a Spina Bifida, to lead an individual and independent lifestyle in their own home and the community. Our client has many interests and hobbies but particularly enjoys getting out and about in the community and enjoying social activities.
Hours: Average of 21.5 hours (3 x weeks of 24 hours & 1 x week of 14 hours).
This will be on a rolling rota and will be a mixture of day shifts and overnights including some weekend shifts.
You must be a driver with a full driving licence and be comfortable driving the clients wheelchair accessible vehicle and willing to support our client on occasion to attend gigs and weekends away, which will include nights away.

Who we are looking for:
You must be self motivated, well organised, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with experience of:
- Spina Biffida (desirable)
- Supporting Personal care including catheter care.
- A background in care with some moving and handling experience (would be preferable).
- The ability to provide companionship with good conversation and keeping clients safe whilst in their own home and also out in the community.
- Medication administration
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness
