Key Requirements:

Experience in construction project management – managing professional services and contractors, under the NEC 4 contract.
Experience working in a project management setting using recognised methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile).
Proven track record of supporting project delivery and coordination.
Experience advising stakeholders and preparing project documentation.
Knowledge of local government structure, services, and pressures.



As Project Officer, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of infrastructure projects by coordinating resources, managing risk, tracking milestones, and liaising with contractors, consultants, and key stakeholders. The work will help ensure that complex and creative infrastructure projects like SEAM Phase 1 are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the day-to-day management of infrastructure and construction projects.
Work within a formal project management framework to plan, track, and coordinate resources.
Liaise with professional services teams and contractors under NEC4 or similar contracts.
Monitor project performance, timelines, and budgets to ensure delivery against key milestones.
Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of project risks.
Maintain project documentation, records, and data systems.
Assist with report writing, briefing papers, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, financial procedures, and legal requirements.
Promote continuous service improvement and innovation in project delivery.
