Summary
The post-holder will be an integral part of a multi-skilled school nurse team, working collaboratively to deliver a public health-focused, needs-led, and equitable service to children and young people in Lewisham. They will work closely with school staff, community paediatricians, health visitors, GPs, and other professionals and agencies to ensure effective service delivery. Key responsibilities include: Recording and monitoring services delivered and providing updates to the Team Leader. Attending child protection case conferences, core group meetings, and other safeguarding-related discussions as required. Supporting the delivery of health promotion programmes and contributing to wider service areas within both school and community settings. This role provides an opportunity to play a vital part in safeguarding and promoting the health and well-being of children and young people.
