Summary


We are seeking a Community Child Health and Child Neurodevelopmental paediatric consultant to join our dynamic and friendly department at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital.

This post is for a Community paediatrician especially with interest in Neurodisability and Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Social Communication Disorders and Social Paediatrics. The successful applicant will join our team in providing excellent care to our local children and their families.

This post is for 5PA to start as soon as possible from September 2025.

Candidates are expected to be on the GMC specialist Register in paediatrics with CCT/CCST in Community Paediatrics, or to be UK specialist trainees within 6 months of CCT/CCST/CESR at date of interview.

The post holder will be a paediatrician trained to consultant level in all aspects of community paediatrics. The post holder will be expected to:

· Provide consultant paediatric input for social communication assessments in the preschool social communication pathway and the school age social communication pathway

· Provide consultant paediatric input for neurodevelopmental clinics within a multidisciplinary team

· Contribute to and support the clinical governance programme of the Trust Clinically supervise and train junior surgical staff when on service

· Contribute to the undergraduate medical teaching programme

· Fulfil PAs as identified as part of the departmental job plan
