Summary
SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Alum Rock, Birmingham B8
Day Rate: £105 - 115
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Birmingham is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting pupils with special educational needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing 1:1 support to pupils with EHCPs and specific learning needs
- Delivering small group interventions to boost confidence and progress
- Assisting with classroom activities and adapting resources for individual needs
- Supporting children with communication, emotional regulation and social development
- Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to monitor progress
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience supporting SEN children in a primary setting
- A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Confidence supporting children with ASD, speech and language needs or behavioural challenges
