Summary
Options For Care have an exciting opportunity for you to join the senior management team as Head of Nursing and Quality across their mental health services based in Birmingham.
We are looking for a passionate, hands-on individual to develop and embed excellence in care across our 3 hospitals and 1 recovery home.
Stanford Court, our High Dependency Unit is due later this year and will further complement our existing pathway supporting our service users through their recovery journey.
Options For Care currently provide the following services;
Dartmouth House is a 16-bed male long-term complex care mental health inpatient unit based in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham.
Montague Court is an 18-bed male long-term complex care mental health inpatient unit based in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
Orchard House is an 8-bed residential step-down service based in Erdington, Birmingham, which allows extension of the long-term complex care pathway.
Stanford Court will be a 23-bed male mental health inpatient unit based in Highgate, Birmingham. This will consist of 19 high dependency beds and four self-contained recovery flats to enable assessment of daily living skills in preparation for discharge.
JOB SUMMARY
The Head of Nursing and Quality will support the management team across the organisation ensuring all aspects of direct care are delivered at the highest quality using on-the-job coaching, mentoring and supervision. You will lead on key clinical statutory responsibilities working across all sites and ensure care delivered meets individuals mental and physical health needs.
The Head of Nursing and Quality will act into the role of registered manager if there is a service need, ensuring continuity of care provision.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Principle Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for the following:
• Provide clinical leadership and support.
• Ensure that excellence of care delivery is maintained and evaluated in line with local and national best practice standards and guidance, this is transferred across to individualised interventions enabling recovery and engagement with the service user group.
• Work closely and collaboratively with service users, their carers, and the multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and review care.
• To promote therapeutic relationships, respecting the uniqueness of each patient, acting in a non-judgmental manner, and promoting the rights of the individual at all times.
• Provide quality assurance and oversight of all aspects of clinical governance to share with the senior management team and provide quality assurance to Options for Care Stakeholders.
