Summary
Working 25 hours per week in a childcare setting - 1pm - 6pm Monday - Friday.
You will be responsible for -
• Work in partnership with the manager and deputy manager to ensure the cleanliness of the setting, adhering to the policies and procedures of the company and in compliance with COSSH Regulations and Health and Safety legislation.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene, health and safety is maintained in the setting at all times.
• Develop routines to ensure all areas of the setting are maintained to high standards of cleanliness.
• To give daily feedback to the setting management team about the setting including any situation that may be detrimental to the company.
• The ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative.
• The ability to manage your own time and prioritise tasks.
• Have a friendly, flexible approach.
• Keep a check on cleaning materials and re-order via the setting management team.
• Be professional, polite and positive in all verbal and non-verbal interactions with staff, parents and children at all times.
• Be a good role model to all staff, children and parents.
• Commitment to undertaking appropriate training and continued professional development.
• To undertake future and refresher training as appropriate.
• Update your knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety issues including COSHH regularly.
• To ensure that the highest standards of health and safety apply to both children, staff, parents and visitor, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Ensure that hygiene and cleanliness within the setting is of the highest standard in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation.
• Be aware of and comply with environmental health officers (EHO) recommendations and control of substances hazardous for health (COSHH) regulations.
• Complete relevant Health and Safety checklists
• Ensure the correct cleaning are products are used on the correct surfaces at all times.
