Summary
In collaboration with the ward integrated multidisciplinary team, to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for patients. Achieve objectives set for maternity nursing competency. To be utilised to work mainly within but not limited to, the areas of Obstetric Observation/High Dependency Care and Postnatal Ward. To be the lead practitioner in the care of postnatal women and birthing people within the specified remits including recovery from caesarean section and other obstetric procedures and medicines management and administration. To support the Midwifery team in the direct clinical care of new born babies, referring for additional medical review where indicated. To contribute towards developing and maintaining a suitable and stimulating learning environment, including supervising junior registered and unregistered staff.
