Summary
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to: provide excellent patient care; assessing patient needs and planning, delivering and evaluating care provision. They will provide a professional service performing a range of relevant treatment room activities without direct supervision and providing support to the GPs. Treatment room experience and asthma diploma would be preferred. General Clinical To provide high quality patient care Participate in setting standards for care and auditing clinical outcomes. Promote & participate in maintaining a safe comfortable & therapeutic environment. Participate in developing strategies and implementing health promotion programmes for clients and carers and facilitate screening clinics Take responsibility for the safe storage and administration of drugs and equipment Provide information, advice and support to patients face to face and via the telephone. Involved in team discussions to ensure best practice Chronic Disease Asthma Hypertension Clinic COPD Clinic Holiday Vaccination Clinic Flu Vaccination Clinic Cervical Smears Family Planning Treatment Room Clinical Skills required Venepuncture Urine testing Swabs ECG procedure Spirometer procedure Assistance in Minor Surgery Infection control management of equipment Immunisation and Vaccine administration Injections Wound management Ear care Family Planning / Womens health Cervical Cytology Mens health Health promotion 2) Organisational To maintain accurate records and data on Treatment Room activities, using the EMIS computer programmes. To work as an effective team member and promote a multi-agency collaborative approach to health care.
