Summary
Personal assistant required for an energetic and chatty ten-year-old autistic girl who lives in Truro.
She currently experiences anxiety and agoraphobia , and she is looking for someone with whom she can build a positive relationship and receive 1:1 support in the family home and in the local community.
She loves animals, nature, soft play areas and imaginative and creative role play.
The rate of pay starts at £13.00 per hour and will increase for the right candidate, depending on their skills and experience.
The role involves working 6 hours per week during term time, increasing to 12 hours per week during school holidays. Flexible hours will be provided to accommodate the applicant's schedule, with availability required on weekends and during school holidays.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with special educational needs would be an advantage.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
