Prospero Teaching are a specialist SEND school in Wolverhampton who provide education and care for pupils aged 7-18 with moderate learning difficulties (MLD). While our designation is MLD, the majority of pupils also present with a range of additional needs including autism, speech, language and communication difficulties, and some behavioural challenges.

We are currently seeking a compassionate, resilient, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. You'll play a vital role in supporting our pupils to achieve their full potential in a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

Your Role Will Involve:
- Supporting pupils with a range of additional needs on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored learning activities
- Helping to create a positive, stimulating, and safe classroom environment
- Encouraging the development of communication, social, and emotional skills
- Implementing strategies to support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to individual education plans (IEPs)
- Working collaboratively with the wider staff team and external professionals

What We're Looking For:
- Experience of working with children or young people with SEND, particularly autism and communication needs
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning and behaviour
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to remain calm and flexible under pressure
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent)
- A minimum of 6 months experience working in a UK school
